FIATA World Congress 2026: AIM Group brings the global logistics community together in Milan

An integrated approach combining congress management, communication and sponsorship to celebrate 100 years of global logistics.

In 2026, Milan became the meeting point for the global freight forwarding and logistics community as the FIATA World Congress celebrated 100 years of global logistics.

Managed by AIM Group International, the congress brought together the expertise of the Group’s Congress Division, Communication team and Sponsorship Unit in a coordinated effort spanning event management, digital communication and partnership development. By combining these complementary capabilities, AIM Group supported the delivery of an international event while extending its visibility and engagement beyond the congress venue.

Building visibility through ten months of communication

Communication played an important role throughout the congress journey, with a ten-month social media strategy designed to build awareness ahead of the event and engage audiences across international markets.

The campaign spanned LinkedIn, Instagram and Facebook, combining a structured editorial calendar with dedicated content on the venue, registrations, the congress programme and the Social Nights.

The publishing plan included three posts per month over ten months, complemented by 49 additional posts dedicated to the programme. Custom-designed visual assets ensured a consistent identity across channels, with content tailored to each platform: LinkedIn supported professional visibility and B2B engagement, Instagram focused on visual storytelling, and Facebook helped maintain connections with regional communities.

Bringing the congress to life in real time

During the event in Milan, live social media coverage captured the atmosphere, key moments and experiences that brought the international logistics community together.

Approximately ten Instagram and Facebook Stories were published each day, combining video and static content, alongside five recap posts highlighting the congress’s main moments. Content shared by attendees and reposts further enriched the coverage, encouraging participation and extending the event narrative beyond the venue.

This real-time approach connected the in-person experience with digital audiences, helping amplify the congress’s reach and sustain engagement beyond those attending in person.

Extending the impact beyond the event

The FIATA World Congress 2026 demonstrates how collaboration across complementary areas of expertise can enhance the value of an international event. By integrating congress management, communication and sponsorship, AIM Group International brought together the operational, digital and partnership dimensions of the project within a shared vision.

More than an international gathering in Milan, the congress provided a platform to celebrate a century of global logistics and strengthen connections across the industry.

Through the combined contribution of its teams, AIM Group International demonstrated how an integrated approach can connect people, expertise and industry stakeholders, creating a coherent event experience and opportunities for engagement that extend beyond the congress itself.
